font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Given my experience in technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI), several people have recently asked me: &#8220;Will AI replace us?&#8221; My answer echoes a phrase I heard on 2023: &#8220;AI will not replace you, but someone who uses AI will.&#8221; The same applies to your company, if you are not using AI, your competitor will.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">The integration of Artificial Intelligence into organizations is no longer a futuristic concept but a present-day reality. As AI reshapes industries and workflows, leadership plays a crucial role in guiding their teams through this technological transition.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><a class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\" draggable=\"false\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mckinsey.com\/capabilities\/quantumblack\/our-insights\/the-state-of-ai-in-2023-generative-ais-breakout-year#leading\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to McKinsey<\/a><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">, organizations that are going &#8220;all in\u201d on AI attributed at least 20 percent of their 2022 EBIT (Earnings before interest and tax) to use of the technology.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">We have been hearing that approaching change with an open mind and a proactive attitude is the most effective way to seize opportunities and emerge successfully on the other side. Resistance to change is a common problem in every organization. There is nothing new about this!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-justify para-style-body\"><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">As an example, from the late 18th and 19th centuries, the <\/span><a class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-underline text-strikethrough-none\" draggable=\"false\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Industrial_Revolution\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Industrial Revolution<\/a><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"> affected the world, progressing it from manual labor, farm labor and handicraft work, to a greater degree of industrialization based on wage labor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-justify para-style-body\"><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Today it seems obvious to all of us that the introduction of technology brought incalculable benefits. However, it faced resistance driven by fears and concerns.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<ul>\n \t<li><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Luditte movement: -&gt; textile workers in England feared that the new machines would replace their jobs. They engaged in machine-breaking as a form of protest.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Agricultural Sector Resistance -&gt; Farmers feared these innovations would lead to unemployment and disrupt traditional farming practices.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Cultural and social resistance -&gt; This resistance was based on job security, safety, and disruption of traditional ways of life.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Lack of skilled workers -&gt; The rapid pace of technological change often outstripped the availability of workers skilled in new technologies.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-justify para-style-body\"><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\" style=\"color: #0b4068; font-weight: bold;\">To overcome fear the first step is to understand what it is we are afraid of. So, do you know what AI is about?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-justify para-style-body\"><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the creation of computer systems that can perform tasks that usually require human intelligence. These tasks include learning from data, making decisions, solving problems, and understanding language. But oil needs to be refined to be valuable. Even questions we do to AI uses data we feed.
